“The Santa Catalina Ranger District, Coronado National Forest, is planning prescribed fire operations from October 25, 2025, through March 2026 as weather conditions allow and in alignment with all required approvals.
We use prescribed fires to help reduce overgrown vegetation and protect local communities, infrastructure, and natural resources from wildfires.
Prescribed fires planned for the area include:
Near the town of Summerhaven, Soldier Camp area, Willow Canyon area, and around the General Hitchcock Campground.”
